In the first issue of OMAC, we met Buddy Blank, a man in the future. He worked in a factory that created artificial lovers for lonely men and women. This masterwork arose purely from the vivid imagination of Jack Kirby…
Or did it?!

All the Kirby biographers and OMAC experts fail to mention this short story from EC Comics: Made of the Future. It features Alvin Blank, a man who travels to the future and procures an artificial wife. Al Feldstein’s signature appears on this tale from 1951, 23 years before the first issue of OMAC!
