Enjoy this mysterious tale from an issue of Black Magic, produced by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby in 1953. Simon and Kirby produced this entire issue, which includes several stories.

The numbering of Black Magic can be confusing. This was the first issue of the fourth volume, but Crestwood Publishing put out eight volumes between 1950 and 1961. Simon and Kirby produced the first five volumes, although they did not create all the stories.

Collector’s Guide: The first three issues of Black Magic are now collected in a Kindle version! Originally from Black Magic #25 (Vol. 4, #1); Crestwood, 1953. Other volumes with Simon/Kirby production include Black Magic Volume 1, Black Magic Volume 2, Black Magic Volume 3 and Black Magic Volume 5,
