Reptilicus! We almost put this in the Godzilla Gallery, because Reptilicus is basically Godzilla except he (she?) flies like Rodan. And instead of an atomic origin, Reptilicus is born of lightning — kind of like The Flash.
So, let’s rock this complete first issue of Reptilicus! If you’re like us, you’ll skip the sub-plots and human interest angle and just get right to the part where the monster freaks out! Also, we dig the three-page back-up story at the end.
Collector’s Guide: From Reptilicus #1; Charlton Comics, 1961.

Now that the new Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Return has the 1961 movie Reptilicus as its first episode, I expect this page will get a lot of traffic!

if jim aparo…penciller, inker and letterer were alive, he would have watch reptilicus on tv, he would have do his version on sidney pink’s acid spitting, non flying hell beast…but boo, hoo…he, along with both patrick masulli and rocke mastroserio, has finally died and gone to charlton comics heaven…fear not, because thanks to mort ”the sport” todd, the charlton arrow is surely recommended to take dear readers like me off my worries and dilemmas. with authorization from 1st comics news, the charlton arrow is still number 1 in the comic book catagorie since 1946…and as such, i still remaiin a devotee of danbury, Connecticut’s finest comic book publishing unit even to this day. i charltonly recommend it.
