What we love most about 1970s Bob Kanigher’s Sgt. Rock stories is that they don’t really glorify war. They seem more like a meditation on the horrors and ultimate futility of war; an anti-war statement, cloaked in a fast-paced adventure story. Nice artwork from Frank Redondo on this one, too!
Collector’s Guide: From Sgt Rock #330; DC Comics, 1979.
